Introduction
St Aubyn’s School is an independent co-ed preparatory school in Woodford Green. Educating pupils since 1884, it operates in line with the motto Fortiter Fideliter Feliciter (Bravely, Faithfully, Happily). St Aubyn’s is the only preparatory school in the country to have its own Cadet Corps. [1]
Academically, its pupils are provided with a plethora of opportunities for success and growth. The curriculum aims to produce independent and inquisitive thinkers who are inspired to make the most out of the superb teaching, including languages, mathematics, humanities, science and technology.
School life is vibrant and exciting, supported by a breadth of extracurricular options such as coding, cooking, African drumming group, sewing, chess and orchestra. Participation in competitions and fixtures is strongly encouraged, allowing children to maximise their ambitions yet remain socially fluent in the process. [2]
The pastoral provision at St Aubyn’s is centred on securing the happiness of each child, grounding them in a lasting love of learning and strong intellectual prowess. The cohort genuinely enjoys the time spent on campus, forming positive relationships and forging fond memories that stay with them long after they leave school.
