Introduction
Seaford College is an independent co-educational boarding and day school in West Sussex. Founded in 1884, the school is settled in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the South Downs. It is famous for inspiring the Jennings and Darbishire children’s books, written by alumnus Anthony Buckeridge.
The Prep School curriculum covers subjects in the following categories: English, Maths, Science, Humanities and MFL, complemented by art, design & technology, PE, music, ICT and PSHE.
The campus, spread over 450 acres of listed parkland, is an excellent location for outdoor education. Ranging from Forest School in Prep School and CCF in Year 9 to outdoor Art and Music activities, the co-curricular programme enables students to develop skills, confidence, and self-esteem, whilst improving their mental health, especially during potentially stressful exam periods.
Aside from encouraging students to fulfil their academic potential, Seaford ensures that they take part in a wealth of cultural, social and sporting activities. In line with the motto To the Heights, they develop into passionate, skilled and well-rounded individuals, fully prepared to walk their chosen path.
