Introduction
Located at Claines, RGS The Grange is one of the three junior schools of RGS Worcester. It occupies a 50-acre site, situated approximately 3 miles north of the Senior School. [1]
A co-educational facility, RGS The Grange is characterised by strong academic provision, delivered through a challenging curriculum which encompasses a wide range of subject areas such as maths, English, science, DT, IT, art, digital media, history, geography, sport, music and French.
The co-curricular ethos is centred on the efforts to encourage pupils to explore their capacity for all-round learning. An array of pursuits is on offer, ranging from choir, writing, construction and music theory to fencing, iPad and coding, yoga and chess.
In the most recent ISI Compliance Inspection for the school, it was concluded that The Grange successfully meets all criteria and hence no recommendations were made. According to ISI, the school provides a secure and stimulating learning environment, enabling children to nurture their sense for aesthetics while growing in character, intellect and overall well-being. In line with the motto ‘From tiny acorns to great oaks’, pupils at The Grange face new situations and challenges with high levels of social and emotional awareness and hence thrive in all spheres of life throughout their later years.

Open Events for RGS The Grange 7 Plus (7+) Entry

RGS The Grange 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
In order for your child to be considered for a place, they should be registered with the school first. This step of the admissions process includes a payment of a £45 fee.
A staff member will then reach out to arrange a Taster Day, during which your child will be assessed. A reference from their current school will be requested.
To accept an offer, you will be asked to pay a £100 deposit.

Scholarships and bursaries are not available to 7+ applicants.
RGS The Grange 7 Plus (7+) Exam Format
The RGS The Grange 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
- Verbal Reasoning
The English exam tests comprehension and writing skills, including inference, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam is designed to test and assess their logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
