Introduction

RGS Springfield (Royal Grammar School Springfield) is one of the three Junior Schools of RGS Worcester. It is located in a large Georgian house surrounded by six acres of gardens and playing fields. [1]

Characterised by small class sizes, this school provides pupils with a stimulating curriculum, including maths, English, science, humanities, French, music, PE and swimming.

Numerous co-curricular pursuits are also on offer, ensuring that children take part in activities which will inspire them to learn and improve even further. Examples of some of the clubs include dance, tennis, cookery, pottery, gardening, orchestra, brass group, cricket, athletics and riding.

Charity fundraising is strongly encouraged, allowing pupils to develop altruism, compassion and community spirit through RGS Springfield’s active collaboration with Acorns Children’s Hospice and Dogs for the Disabled, among others.

According to ISI, the school is a place where children approach learning with enjoyment, acquire high levels of literacy & numeracy and maximise their all-round potential. [2]

Within the warm and caring learning environment, pupils are encouraged to do their best and become the finest version of themselves, benefitting from the family-like ethos and the individualised attention they receive on a daily basis.
