Priory School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
The first step of the admissions process includes registration. You will be expected to complete a form and pay a fee of £50, both to be submitted one week prior to the entrance examinations.
Before making an offer, Priory may contact your child’s current school for a verbal reference. Offers are typically sent out two weeks after the examinations. To accept the offer, you will be expected to complete and return an Acceptance Form and pay the acceptance deposit within a specific deadline.

Scholarships, Assisted Places and Bursaries are available to Year 7 applicants. Their continuation is subject to positive conduct and results.

The Priory School 11+ exam consists of the following papers:
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper may include questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
