Prior’s Field is an independent boarding and day school for girls in Guildford, Surrey. Spread over 42 acres of parkland, the school was recently rated ‘Excellent’ across all categories in its ISI inspection.

Open Events for Prior’s Field 11 plus (11+) Entry
Prior’s Field holds open events throughout the year, allowing you and your daughter to experience its atmosphere and meet current pupils and staff members.
Open Day takes place in September, but there are also the Meet The Head events, set in March and May. Open Mornings are held three times a year and places are booked via the Admissions Team.

Prior’s Field 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
To register your daughter for 11+ entry, you will be asked to complete and submit a registration form, and pay a non refundable fee of £100 prior to the October half-term in the year preceding entry.
Places are offered following satisfactory completion of the entrance examinations and receipt of a reference and recent report from your daughter’s current school. She will also be expected to attend Preview Day in November, an event packed with taster activities, during which she will be interviewed.
Prior’s Field 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
At 11+, the school offers Academic, Art, Sports, Music and Drama Scholarships.
Academic scholarships are awarded to Year 7 applicants who excel in the entrance examinations. A further interview may also take place.
Scholarships typically carry a 5%-20% fee remission and may include extra-curricular tuition.
The school also offers an Armed Forces Discount, valued at 20% of boarding fees. Sibling discounts are available too.
Prior’s Field offers means-tested bursaries to girls from low-income families or families who have experienced unforeseen financial hardship. Bursaries are valued at up to 95% of day fees.

Prior’s Field 11 Plus (11+) Exam Format
The Prior’s Field 11+ exam consists of the following papers:
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The maths exam assesses your daughter’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper may include questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures her ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
