Introduction

 

Park School for Girls is an independent day school for girls in Ilford, Essex. Founded in 1974 by parents who purchased the buildings from Clark’s College, the school has had a number of extensions added to its original site over the years.

 

The Year 7 curriculum covers MFL, music, drama, mathematics, English, science, geography, history, PSHEC, religious studies, ICT, art & design and physical education.

 

The Enrichment Programme offers a variety of clubs, ranging from Table Tennis, Board Games, Coding and First Aid, to Touch Typing, Photography, Cooking and Film Club.

Park School for Girls 11 Plus (11+) Admissions  

 

To register your daughter for Year 7 entry, you should complete the registration form, return it to the school along with a copy of her birth certificate and pay the fee of £80. Your daughter will then receive an invitation to attend a taster session.

 

The entrance exam typically takes place in February, although it can also be sat during the Autumn Term (while your daughter is in Year 6). The admissions process may include an interview. If Park School offers your daughter a place, you will be asked to secure it by paying a £1,000 deposit and completing a Parent Contract.

 

Park School for Girls 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries

 

The school offers Assisted Places, means-tested awards that are based on family income. These are typically valued at 25% of fees and are reviewed annually, hence they may increase/decrease as a direct result of any changes in your financial circumstances. The Park School for Girls 11+ entrance examination consists of the following tests:

• CEM Select

 

The English paper examines writing skills, including spelling and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.

 

CEM Select assesses Verbal, Non-Verbal and Numerical Ability through a series of short, online modules.
