Introduction
Pangbourne College is a co-educational independent day and boarding school located in the civil parish of Pangbourne, Berkshire. Founded in 1917, the school is set in 230 acres in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The curriculum comprises art, biology, chemistry, classics, computer Science, ICT, design technology, drama and theatre, economics and business, English, Film Studies, geography, history, mathematics, Media Studies, Modern Foreign Languages, music, PE, physics, PSHCE, psychology and religious studies.
Among the co-curricular activities on offer to pupils are rowing, drama, riding, art, golf, French culture, Gifted and Talented Programme meetings, Film Club, fitness, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award section work, mountain biking and Young Enterprise.

Pangbourne College 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
After registering with Pangbourne, your child will be invited to attend an assessment day. They will also have an interview with a senior member of staff and take part in a variety of activity-based assessments.
Copies of recent school reports along with a reference will be requested. Once the admissions process is complete, you will be notified about an offer of a place, to be formally accepted with a payment of a £1,250 deposit. For more details, please contact the Registrar.
Pangbourne College 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are awarded at 13+ or 16+ only. At 11+, the College awards Exhibitions. Exhibitions are valued at 5% fee reduction, with a maximum fee reduction of 10% in cases of double awards. If a bursary is also awarded, the value of the exhibition may be subject to change.
The school’s Bursary Scheme covers Entrance Bursaries for new pupils and is designed to assist parents financially in sending their child to school. Bursaries are entirely means-tested and are awarded annually on the basis of the financial eligibility of parents who meet the application requirements in full.
