Introduction
Millfield is a co-educational independent school located in Somerset. Founded in 1935, it is the largest co-ed boarding school in the UK, with a campus occupying over 240 acres of land. Its Prep school, educating around 450 pupils, was founded in 1946. [1]
The varied curriculum covers English, mathematics, science, DT, ICT, history, geography, RS, MFL, art, music, drama and PE.
Via the abundant Activities programme, Millfield Prep enables pupils to discover new interests and talents. Clubs range from Archery, Hockey, Polo and Programming & Coding to Choir, Judo, Forest School and Mandarin.

Millfield Prep School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
The admissions process formally begins once you’ve submitted a completed registration form together with the £175 fee. Upon receipt of the form, Millfield Prep will contact your child’s current school, asking for a reference.
The next stage of the admissions process includes formal assessments and an interview. Subject to successful performance in these and a positive reference, your child will be offered a place at the school. Please note that in order to secure it, you will be asked to pay a deposit.
