Introduction
Manor House School is an independent day school for girls located in Little Bookham, Surrey. Founded in 1920 in Devon, the school moved to Bookham in 1937.
The Year 7 curriculum falls into the following categories: Art, Drama, English, Food Technology, Humanities, Mathematics/ICT, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Physical Education and Science.

After visiting the school, you should fill in the application form (which can be accessed through this page) and pay the £100 registration fee. Your daughter will then be invited to attend Experience Day in November, during which she will be interviewed by a senior staff member.
Entrance examinations take place in the same month. Please note that Manor House will also obtain references from your daughter’s current school. Places are announced in December, to be accepted by the deadline in March. The £800 acceptance deposit will be refunded at the end of your daughter’s education at Manor House School.

Academic scholarships are awarded to top-performing candidates in the entrance examinations. They can be both major and minor awards. At 11+, the school also offers Art, Drama, Music and Sports Scholarships. Application forms can be requested from the admissions office.
Means-tested bursaries can supplement a scholarship, or be awarded separately and provide a fee remission of up to 100%. Bursary applications should be made by the deadline in November prior to entry the following September. You will be considered eligible if your daughter has successfully been offered a school place.
