Long Close School is a coeducational independent school located in Berkshire. Founded in 1940, it is the largest independent school in Slough, and is owned and operated by the Cognita Group.
After joining in Year 7, pupils take lessons in English, mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, Spanish, geography, history, religious studies, art, music, design technology, drama, computing, PSHE and games.
The school’s ‘Inspire the Future’ initiative is designed to engage parents and other friends of the school in the introduction of pupils to various career paths that they may choose to follow by giving talks about a particular area of work.
Whilst helping pupils make the very most of themselves, the school boosts their confidence and develops their resilience and self esteem. Hard work and self-discipline are strongly encouraged at Long Close, along with key values such as respect, tolerance, honesty, compassion and fair-mindedness.
