Introduction
Lingfield College is an independent, co-ed school situated in Surrey. Founded in 1940, it occupies two sites for the Senior and Prep schools. [1]
In the Prep School, the academic provision is centred on boosting pupils’ numeracy and literacy skills, strongly emphasising the importance of their education in the areas of humanities, sciences and creative subjects, as well.
Specialist PE teachers ensure that children actively participate in a broad range of sporting activities, including football, netball, hockey, cross country, cricket and athletics. Lingfield College 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
Depending on availability of places, entry into Year 3 is through entrance assessments, taking into consideration references and reports from your child’s current school, as well. Registration is done online and includes a payment of a £110 registration fee.
Your child will be invited to the school to sit examinations for Maths and English, after which you will be notified of their results and whether or not an offer has been made. Upon receipt of an offer, you will be asked to confirm its acceptance by returning the completed forms and paying a deposit, refunded during your child’s last term at the school.

The Lingfield College 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and their oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
