Introduction

Ipswich School is an independent school located in Ipswich, Suffolk. The Senior School occupies the main school site and is settled in Grade II listed buildings, which are a distinctive example of Victorian architecture.

Pupils in the Lower School are taught English, maths, French or Spanish, art, DT, Classics, drama, geography, history, philosophy, religion and ethics, Principles of Science, swimming and PE.

The co-curricular programme comprises Music, Sport, Drama and Club activities, whilst trips outside the UK have included journeys to India, Peru, Ethiopia, Ecuador and Borneo. Recently, the school became one of the first in the country to organise trips to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, where pupils explored the Silk Route cities of Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara.

The school fully invests in elevating pupils’ self-confidence, skills and aspirations whilst carefully guiding them throughout their educational journey.
