Introduction
Hymers College is a co-educational independent day school in Kingston upon Hull, located on the grounds of the old Botanical Gardens. Founded in 1887, it is one of the leading schools in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
The Senior School curriculum comprises English, mathematics, Science, French, Spanish, Latin, history, geography, design technology, art, drama, music, ICT, religious education, physical education, swimming, games and PSHE.
From the vastly popular Duke of Edinburgh scheme to the Army Cadet Force, the school’s co-curricular programme, coupled with its theoretical education, sets the foundation of an inclusive culture where young people are empowered to excel.
The consistently excellent results across all academic disciplines and the high uptake of the wide variety of extra-curricular activities are in line with both that culture and the motto High Merit, High Reward, making Hymers College a place where success is a standard, whatever the endeavour.
