There will also be an interview with the Headmaster and a request for your child’s current-school reports.
The application form should be submitted along with a £25 application fee. The Headmaster will make an offer of a place verbally, and later confirm it in writing.
The offer letter will be sent along with an Acceptance Form and the Hulme Hall Grammar School Terms and Conditions. The Acceptance Form should be completed and signed, and returned to the school together with the deposit cheque. Details of the deposit, refundable in your child’s last term at the school, are set out in the Acceptance Form and Terms and Conditions.
Scholarships are offered on the basis of results in assessments. These will be valid until your child reaches the end of Year 11, under the condition that they maintain the expected standards. Candidates in receipt of a specific scholarship award, eg Art, Drama, Music or Sport, will be expected to play an active part in these areas throughout their school life.
Bursaries are means-tested and are awarded on the basis of performance in the Entrance Assessments. You will be expected to submit a Statement of Financial Means Form, along with comprehensive documentation in support of your application.
The school will take into consideration a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, your income (from all sources), assets (including personal property) and other matters that are particular to your child, such as family circumstances.
