Introduction

Godolphin School is an independent boarding and day school for girls located in Salisbury, Wiltshire. It was founded in 1726 by the Hon. Charles Godolphin and his wife, Elizabeth for the purpose of educating eight orphaned girls.

The school’s well-rounded currciulum is accomplished via the provision of lessons in art, craft & design, biology, chemistry, Classics, computer science, drama, DT, English, history, food & nutrition, geography, maths, MFL, music, PE, physics, RS and science.

The many activities beyond the classroom range from academic societies to the Combined Cadet Force. Zumba, Leith’s School of Cookery, Debating, the Book Club and the popular Duke of Edinburgh Award provide girls with the opportunity to extend their skills, passions and talents.

The school was declared the best Southwest Independent Secondary School of the Year 2019 by the Sunday Times, which is a testament to how confident and motivated girls at Godolphin are to do their best academically.
