Introduction
Fairfield Preparatory School is an independent, co-ed day school in Loughborough, Leicestershire. It is one of four private schools known collectively as the Loughborough Endowed Schools and is well noted for its pupils’ strong academic achievements. [1]

Fairfield Prep School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
To apply for a place in Year 3, you should complete this form and pay the registration fee.
The admissions process includes formal assessments in Maths, English and Non-Verbal Reasoning. References from your child’s current-school Headteacher will also be requested.
You will be notified of the school’s decision within 2-3 weeks of the assessments. If you receive an offer of a place, you will need to pay an acceptance deposit of £300 to secure it. This deposit will be refunded during your child’s last term at the school.

The Fairfield Prep School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English (writing and comprehension)
- Mathematics
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
