To register your child, you should fill in the registration form available on the school’s website.
Upon registration, your child will be invited for a Year 7 assessment day, which takes place in early January of the calendar year of entry.
The assessment day will help your child learn more about life at Dunottar and will enable the school to assess their ability to fit into the Dunottar community. In addition to tests, your child will have a friendly, informal interview with a member of staff. They will also take part in a number of individual and group activities to assess their creative and collaborative skills.
Academic Scholarships are awarded on the basis of positive school reports and exceptional performance in the entry assessment and interview. The school looks into each child’s potential and capacity to contribute to the community. Thus, the school expects Scholars to show real commitment to their scholarship subject(s), aim high and have a positive impact on their peer group and other pupils.
There is no application process for an Academic Scholarship. The school also offers Art, Music, Sports, Performing Arts and Design & Technology Scholarships. For more information, please visit the school’s website.
