Introduction
Culford School is a co-ed, independent day and boarding school located 4 miles north of Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. The most recent inspection report of the Prep and Senior schools by ISI has rated them as ‘Excellent’ in all assessed areas. [1]

Culford School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
Entry into Year 3 is dependent upon your child’s performance in formal 7+ assessments and satisfactory references and reports from their current school.
Registration for the assessments includes a payment of a non-refundable registration fee of £100.
If your child receives an offer of a place, you will be asked to accept it by submitting a signed Acceptance Form and paying a deposit.

Culford School 7 Plus (7+) Exam Format
The Culford School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:
- English
- Mathematics
- Reasoning (Verbal and Non-Verbal)
The above areas may be tested through online assessments or written papers.
The English assessment examines comprehension skills, including inference, vocabulary and grammar. There may also be a paper examining your child’s writing skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
The Verbal Reasoning section of the exam is designed to test and assess their logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning test measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
