Basic information: City of London Freemen’s School (CLFS) is a co-ed independent day school based at Ashtead Park in Surrey. A member of the Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference, it is part of a family of prestigious London schools, together with CLS and CLSG. [1]

City of London Freemen’s School 8 Plus (8+) Admissions
Subject to availability of places, you can register your child for Year 4 entry using this online portal. Payment of a £200 fee must be included. Please note that the application deadline is in October of the year preceding entry.
The admissions process includes examinations, reports and interviews. The exam takes place in December, assessing your child’s skills across three areas.
Offers of places are sent in December, to be accepted by the deadline in January. The acceptance deposit is £2,000 for day pupils and £5,000 for boarders.

The City of London Freemen’s School 8 Plus (8+) exam consists of the following assessments:

- Mathematics
- Non-Verbal Reasoning
The English assessment examines comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including your child’s knowledge of times tables.
