Introduction
Cheadle Hulme School is a coeducational independent day school in Stockport. Founded in 1855, the school was rated ‘excellent’ in all areas in its most recent ISI report. [1] [2]
In the Junior School, the curriculum covers maths, science and English, alongside Humanities, MFL (Spanish, French and German) and IT.
The school’s co-curricular programme is abundant, providing pupils with various opportunities to further develop their skills and talents. Activities and clubs include LAMDA, Debating Club, Chess, Philosophy Club, Junior Waconian Journalism Club and Quiz Club.

Cheadle Hulme School 7 Plus (7+) Admissions
To apply for a place in Year 3, you should fill in this form. The registration fee is £50.
Your child will then be invited to the school to complete assessments in English and Maths.
If their performance in these assessments is successful, your child may receive an offer of a place, typically sent out in March.

The Cheadle Hulme School 7 Plus (7+) exam consists of the following assessments:

- Mathematics
The English assessment will examine comprehension and writing skills, including spelling, punctuation and grammar, as well as the fluency of your child’s reading and their oral skills.
The Maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including their knowledge of times tables.
