13+ St. Paul’s School – English Clinic

This is an online 13+ Deferred English Clinic Rerun with EPP specialist and former St. Paul’s Boys’ School English teacher, Andrew Broughton. If you missed it in October, now is your chance to sign up!

This English Clinic has been specifically created for candidates preparing for the St. Paul’s Boys’ School (SPS) English Second Stage written exam. The material adheres to the level, complexity and style of the real exam.

It is designed for boys who are currently in Year 6 and targeting 13+ Deferred Entry to SPS and who will be taking the exam on 6th January 2025.

Each 90 minute session is stand-alone, focusing on the key requirements and specifics of the school’s exam. Prior to each session, students will receive their exclusive workbook by email.

Sessions will be supportive and interactive, and students will get the opportunity to ask questions and work together.

These clinics will be taught in small groups online over Zoom. Once you have booked your child’s place, we will send you the Zoom link to join.

About Andrew Broughton

Andrew is a vastly experienced tutor who taught English and Drama St Paul’s Boys’ School for 20 years. Whilst at St Paul’s, he led the SPJ Scholarship Class; conducted external examining of English, internal coursework moderation and marking of common-entrance and scholarship examinations, the latter of which he also set; ran two English societies and two book clubs for lower- and upper-school students; and directed a range of age groups in many plays including Endgame, Tartuffe, Pravda and Titus Andronicus.

Andrew is a highly charismatic teacher with a wealth of experience. He has a deep understanding of the competitive admissions process and knows what it takes to succeed. We are very excited to welcome Andrew on board at Exam Papers Plus!
