Introduction
Bromley High School is a girls’ independent school located in Bickley, Greater London. Occupying 24 acres of grounds and playing fields, it is part of the GDST Consortium and is considered one of the top-performing schools in the area. [1]
The curriculum for the Junior School boosts girls’ skills in the areas of creative expression, digital learning, science, sport, MFL, numeracy and literacy. Via the Forest School, the school introduces girls to its strong environmental ethos, enabling them to become one with nature and grow in self-confidence and independence.
The extensive pastoral care provision is enhanced via the PSHE programme, which develops girls’ critical thinking and their personal qualities & attributes whilst preparing them for healthy, responsible and balanced lives.
Bromley High strongly encourages girls to make the most of their time at the school and access the next stages of their lives with the determination to leave their mark in the world. In line with this, the four houses in the Junior School are named after notable female figures in literature: Austen, Brontë, Rowling and Crompton.
