To register your child for entry, you will need to complete the Provisional Entry Form and return it to the Admissions office. They will then be invited to sit a pretest between November and March of Year 6.

Your child will be further assessed in the Autumn and Lent Terms of Year 6, following a request for a detailed reference from their current-school Head. This part of the admissions process includes interviews and a series of team problem solving exercises (60 minutes) assessing your child’s interpersonal skills, resilience, innovation and reflection.

On the basis of the assessments, interviews, references and the pretest results, your child may receive an offer of a place.

In Year 8, your child will take one of the following tests:

  • Bradfield Entrance Tests (in January of Year 8)
  • Common Academic Scholarship (in February of Year 8)
  • Common Entrance/Prep School Baccalaureate (in June of Year 8)

Scholarships do not carry a reduction in fees. Fee reductions are determined by means testing and priority is given to candidates who have won a scholarship. The school offers the following awards:

  • Stevens Academic Scholarship
  • Dr Gray All Rounder Scholarship
  • Art and Design Scholarship
  • Drama Scholarship
  • Music Scholarship
  • Sports Scholarship

Bursaries are means-tested and carry a discount of up to 100% on tuition fees. Prior to awarding a Bursary, the school will take into consideration your income, assets, investments, liabilities and banking details. When deciding on the level of support, the school also takes into account compassionate and other relevant circumstances.

Bursaries are awarded approximately six months before the start of the academic year and are subject to annual review. The annual review may cause a variation in the amount of bursarial support.

If you wish to apply for bursarial support, you must submit your request when completing the Provisional Registration Form. For more details, please visit the school’s website.
