Beechwood Sacred Heart School is a co-educational independent day and boarding school, situated on a 25 acre campus in Tunbridge Wells, Kent. Established by the Society of the Sacred Heart in 1915, the school retains its Catholic traditions whilst welcoming pupils of all faiths.

Beechwood Sacred Heart School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
Admission into Year 7 is made on the basis of performance in entrance tests, the impression made during interview and references/reports from your child’s current school.
The entrance examination for 11+ entry is set in November. Upon successful performance throughout the admissions process, you may receive an offer of a place, which you can accept by paying a deposit and registration fee of £100 and signing a Parent Contract.

Beechwood Sacred Heart School 11 Plus (11+) Exam Format
The Beechwood Sacred Heart School 11+ entrance examination consists of the following papers:
- English (comprehension + creative writing)
The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper will include questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
The Verbal Reasoning paper is primarily designed to test and assess her logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
