Bedford Girls’ School 7 Plus (7+) Entrance Exam Information – Key Details
Table of Contents
Bedford Girls’ School (BGS) is an independent school for girls located in Bedfordshire. It was established in 2010 as a result of a merger between two schools: Bedford High School and Dame Alice Harpur School.
The Junior School curriculum covers six broad areas: language (English and MFL), mathematics, science, personal, social & physical education, humanities and arts.
Excellent indoor and outdoor facilities are on offer, including a swimming pool, a gymnasium, an all-weather sports pitch, a boathouse and tennis courts, allowing a number of co-curricular activities to take place. Through these, girls develop leadership and time-management skills and have their self-esteem and all-round potential maximised.
At BGS, failure is understood as yet another step towards success, while imagination and self-reflection are perceived as vital parts of any achievement. Girls benefit from a holistic education and an ethos that’s centred on academic excellence, which typically produces free-thinking, open-minded and confident lifelong learners, who approach adulthood with a strong sense of awareness about global issues.
