Introduction
Founded in 1860, Lambrook is an independent co-ed preparatory school in Berkshire. It occupies a magnificent 52-acre campus and has educated many notable professionals and aristocrats, as well as members of the Royal family. [1]
Supported by highly-qualified staff, the academic provision at Lambrook is of an exceptional standard. Accordingly, the curriculum is varied and comprehensive, covering languages, sciences, mathematics, ICT and a number of other disciplines relevant to further education.
The school’s main objective is to engage children in activities that they are passionate about. The co-curricular programme is thus as extensive as it gets, featuring everything from fencing, judo and public speaking to polo, bee keeping and ballet. Trips abroad are ogranised regularly, maximising pupils’ sense of independence as they engage in exploration of different cultural settings. [2]
Thanks to the robust academic and non-academic offering, Lambrook’s leavers gain entry to some of the country’s most prestigious schools, including Brighton, Eton, Harrow, Oundle, St Mary’s Ascot and Wycombe Abbey. There, they proceed to achieve successes across a number of niche areas, demonstrating a remarkably broad range of interests and abilities alongside an array of positive personal qualities.
