We’ve just released some new products for the 7+ King’s Maths Exam:
7+ King’s (KCJS) Maths Practice Test 1
7+ King’s (KCJS) Maths Practice Test 2
7+ King’s (KCJS) Maths Practice Test 3
7+ King’s (KCJS) Maths Practice Test 4
As you may know, King’s have changed the format of their 7+ Maths exam this year. We’ve therefore created these new papers to help your son prepare for the new format, familiarising him with the new layout and question styles. You can view the official sample for the new format from King’s here.
The new test will comprise three 10-minute sections as follows:
Section 1 – Number Work: This assesses the candidate’s grasp of numbers, addition and subtraction skills at 7+ level.
Section 2 – Mathematical Reasoning: In this section, candidates must articulate their mathematical understanding, often through words and sentences. Spelling errors are not penalised.
Section 3 – Investigation/Problem Solving Task: Here, the emphasis is on open-ended tasks. The school is keenly interested in the candidate’s approach, not just the final solution.
We’ve based these new maths practice tests on the new layout and format, so your son can get used to not only the types of questions that will come up but also how the paper will look and feel.
Each pack consists of one full practice test with three sections. Answers are included. The practice tests are all pitched at the same difficulty level but contain unique questions, so you can use them to benchmark your child’s progress accurately and effectively.
