St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) 13 Plus (13+) Admissions
13+ is not the school’s standard point of entry. To learn if places are available, please reach out to the Admissions Team. The deadline for applications is in November of the year preceding entry, and the registration form should be submitted with a payment of a £125 fee.
The assessments take place the following January, assessing your daughter’s skills across two areas of the curriculum through a paper-based exam. Offers are typically made in February, to be accepted by the deadline in early March.
St Albans High School for Girls (STAHS) 13 Plus (13+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are not available to 13+ applicants, but you can apply for a mean-tested bursary. These awards can be valued at up to 100% of fees, and assistance for uniform, educational trips, school lunches and music lessons is also included.

The STAHS 13+ entrance examination consists of the following assessments:

The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation.
