Introduction

Godolphin and Latymer School is an independent day school in Hammersmith, West London. It was founded in 1861 as a boys’ school and was re-established in 1905 as a school for girls. It operates a house system, comprising six houses named after affluent women who left their mark in the history of humankind. [1] 

Academically, Godolphin and Latymer supports girls through a broad and relevant curriculum that covers a rich range of subject options, including Classics, Mandarin, science, mathematics and French. Expert staff provide a broad spectrum of opportunities for the development of a rounded academic ability, complementing the school’s research-informed approach to educating by constantly adapting to new methods of effective teaching.

Open Events for Godolphin and Latymer School 13 Plus (13+) Entry

Open Days provide families with the perfect opportunity to get to know the Head and members of the teaching staff. Guided tours of facilities will also take place, giving you and your daughter a flavour of what to expect from the school. The events are typically hosted during the Spring and Autumn terms.

Godolphin and Latymer School 13 Plus (13+) Admissions

13 plus is not the school’s standard point of entry. If places are available, they will be offered on the basis of performance in formal exams and an interview. It is likely that reports and confidential references from your daughter’s current school will also be obtained. 

The 13+ exams consist of two stages: the Stage 1 exam is taken online, and based on successful performance, your daughter will be invited to the school to sit a Stage 2 paper-based exam and attend an interview.

Applications for 13+ places must be submitted by the deadline in January of the calendar year of entry. The (non-refundable) registration fee is £150.
