Introduction

The admissions process for 12+ entry commences with registration, which should be completed by the deadline in October of the year preceding entry. During this stage, you will be required to provide your school preferences and indicate your eligibility for Pupil Premium and Free School Meals. Additionally, any medical or social needs that may impact your child’s ranking should be disclosed.
Upon successful registration, your child will receive a formal invitation to take the Late Transfer test. Confirmation of attendance must be provided by a specified date in December. The maths exam assesses your child’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper will include multiple-choice questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The multiple-choice Verbal Reasoning paper is designed to test and assess logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The multiple-choice Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures the ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
