Introduction

Wycombe High School is an all-girls grammar school situated in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire. It was established in 1901 with only 18 students and 3 staff members. Presently, the school has more than 1300 enrolled pupils and has achieved academy status. Admission to the school depends on girls’ performance in the Secondary Transfer Test.

The school’s curriculum is both extensive and flexible, with students’ particular interests being a primary concern. Wycombe High School is aware of the fact that the girls it educates will be the women who shape the future, and it designs its syllabus accordingly. Although the focus is on core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Science, pupils are equally encouraged to invest their time and effort into creative classes.

Wycombe High School is heavily involved in the growth of its students beyond the classroom setting. It offers over 100 extra-curricular activities, some of which are managed by students themselves, providing a fantastic opportunity for them to develop their leadership and organisation skills. These activities range from drama, dance, and sports to philosophy and politics.

The school aims to nurture limitless ambition and insatiable curiosity in its students. It motivates them to go after their dreams and instils the belief that there are no limitations to what they can achieve. Wycombe High School believes students’ school days should be the most enjoyable period of their life and seeks to create a joyful learning environment for its pupils.

According to the Ofsted report, the school’s work is “Outstanding” across all categories. [1]

  1. Comprehension, technical English and Verbal Reasoning

How to Prepare for the Wycombe High School Secondary Transfer Test?

At Exam Papers Plus, we advise that students create a revision plan in the early stages of their exam preparation and combine this with 11+ practice tests. These help track your child’s progress and allow you to understand your daughter’s strengths and weaknesses.

We strongly suggest setting up a study schedule, which includes studying ‘little and often’. The more prepared students feel before the assessment, the better they are likely to perform.

Our 11+ resources are used by thousands of students every year because they are practical and effective, successfully replicating the format, layout and timings of the actual test. They will significantly enhance your daughter’s confidence ahead of the exam, leading to improved performance and a greater chance of success.
