Introduction

Woodbridge School is an independent school in Suffolk. Founded in 1577, it became co-educational in 1974 and currently occupies a beautiful 45-acre campus. “

Along with the core subjects, pupils study history and social sciences, creative arts, STEM and Foreign Languages (French, Spanish, Mandarin and Japanese). Sports activities include Hockey, Rugby, Netball, Cricket, Cross Country, Equestrianism, Athletics, Tennis, Skiing, Football, Basketball, Badminton, Sailing, Pilates, Volleyball, Shooting and Golf.

Woodbridge’s commitment to ensuring that pupils experience life outside school walls is reflected in the many trips it organises. They have included visits to South Africa, the Netherlands, Spain, Morocco, Peru, Nepal, China, Japan and Greece.

Grounded in Christian values, the school encourages working for the benefit of others and the wider community. Open Events for Woodbridge School 11 Plus (11+) Entry

Woodbridge School holds a number of open events throughout the year which will provide you and your child with a general introduction to everything on offer. Woodbridge School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

Woodbridge School is an academically selective school. Selection is based on academic merit, assessed via entrance examinations. Those entering at Year 7 will also have a taster session and an interview with the Head. As part of the admissions process, a current-school confidential reference will be requested.

Woodbridge School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries

Academic awards are available to pupils entering the Senior School at 11+ and don’t require a separate application. They are based on performance in the entrance tests, hence further assessments are not included.

Means-tested bursaries are available. If you indicate on the application form that you require financial support, bursary application forms will be sent to you.
