Introduction
Warwick School is an independent day and boarding school for boys aged 7–18. It consists of a Junior School, Senior School and Sixth Form, all of which sit on a 50-acre campus on the River Avon in the county town of Warwick.
It is one of the oldest schools in England, with a history that can be traced back to 914. It has occupied its current site since 1879 and, in 2019, King’s High School will also move onto this site, bringing all of the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation schools (Warwick School, Warwick Preparatory School and King’s High School) together.
Facilities include a sports pavilion and all-weather sports pitches, purpose-built buildings for Science, Mathematics and English and Warwick Hall, a £7.5 million state-of-the-art school hall.
Recently, 94% of GCSE grades awarded to Warwick School students were A*–B (9–6), with 78% being in the top A*–A (9–7) range. The school also has an excellent reputation for drama and music and is striving to build on this to become a national centre for the arts.
The most recent Educational Quality Inspection, carried out by the ISI, found the school to be ‘excellent’ in all areas relating to the quality of pupils’ achievements and personal development.

If you decide to apply for a place at Warwick School on behalf of your son, you must complete an application form and return it to the admissions team along with a non-refundable registration fee of £75 and a copy of his birth certificate. The deadline for applications is in October of the year preceding entry.
All candidates are invited to an interview about two weeks after the entrance exam. For most this will be a general assessment interview with a senior member of staff. - Instrumental Scholarships
- Choral Scholarships
The latter is awarded in association with The Collegiate Church of St. Mary. Just like Academic awards, recognitions for musical ability are valued at up to 20% of fees.
