Introduction
Basic information: St Benedict’s School is an independent Catholic school located in the west London suburb of Ealing. Established in 1902 as a boys school, it has been fully co-educational since 2007.[1]
Curriculum: St Benedict’s actively invests in boosting pupils’ skills during their first year in the Senior School. Students are encouraged to learn independently and, to reach their full potential, they are advised to take two sciences, a creative subject, humanities and a language together with mathematics, English and religious studies.[2]
Co-curricular: The Senior School offers over a hundred co-curricular activities which include sporting, artistic and academic pursuits. Since the department acknowledges the importance of engaging pupils in various activities, these are available throughout the week. [3]
Inspection reports: ISI recognises St Benedict’s efforts to provide pupils with a conducive learning atmosphere. Alongside excellent pastoral care, the school delivers high academic standards, allowing students to enter some of the best universities in the UK and beyond. The most recent ISI report also states that pupils excel in the areas of both physical and creative development.
Through an extensive curriculum and a broad programme of co-curricular activities, St Benedict’s enables pupils to obtain exemplary academic and non-academic qualifications. Driven by strong moral and spiritual values, pupils pursue their ambitions with confidence and face life’s challenges with tenacity.
