Introduction

Bedford Greenacre Independent School is a co-ed independent day school in Bedford, Bedfordshire. It was formally established following the merger of Rushmoor School and St Andrew’s School. [1]

In Year 7, pupils study English, maths, science, MFL, history, geography, religious education, several arts and technology subjects, as well as physical education. To complement their educational experience, the school offers a number of sporting, musical, dramatic and creative opportunities, as well as activities which enhance their IT and mathematics skills.

Open Mornings allow families to tour the school, see pupils at work and meet key staff members. These are held throughout the year at both the Kimbolton Road site and Shakespeare Road site. Personal visits at a mutually convenient date can be scheduled with the admissions team.

Bedford Greenacre Independent School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

The admissions process formally begins once you submit a completed application form and pay the £50 registration fee. Your child will then be invited to spend a day at the school, during which they will be assessed. There may also be an interview.

Following the assessments, you will be informed in writing whether or not your child will be offered a place at the school. To accept an offer, you will be expected to complete an acceptance form and pay a £150 deposit to secure the place.
