Saint Felix School 11 Plus (11+) Entrance Exam Information 2026

Introduction

Saint Felix School is a co-educational, independent, day and boarding school in Reydon, Southwold in Suffolk. Over 120 years old, the school was originally established with the aim of educating girls.

The contemporary curriculum covers English, mathematics, science, art & design, classics, design & technology, drama, geography, history, languages, music, physical education, PSHEE & citizenship, religious education and STEM.

Extracurricular activities include various sporting clubs from the more traditional Rugby and Hockey to fencing and shooting, along with an array of others such as Chess Club, Drama and Film Club.

Saint Felix School maximises pupils’ potential in line with academic, sporting and creative achievements while encouraging positive human relationships among them. The school’s individualised approach towards education enables the discovery and further development of personal gifts and talents, and simultaneously reinforces qualities such as respect, rationality and humanity.

The school holds Open Mornings, allowing prospective families to visit the beautiful 75-acre campus and become familiar with the ethos and facilities on offer. Saint Felix School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

The 11+ registration form should be completed and submitted along with a £100 registration fee. Your child will then be invited to attend Taster Day, which includes informal assessments.

The entrance exam can be taken during the taster session, or during the formal exam day in January. There will also be an interview with the Head.

On the basis of successful performance in the exams and interview, your child may receive an offer. Please note that places are accepted by submitting an acceptance form together with payment of a refundable deposit, which amounts to £500. 

Saint Felix School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries

The school awards Academic Scholarships to outstanding applicants following competitive academic examination papers. The value of the award is up to 50% of the fees.

Academic Exhibitions are awarded to candidates who show promise but have not quite reached the standard demanded of scholars. The maximum value of exhibitions is 25% of the fees.

Music Scholarships and Exhibitions are awarded to candidates who demonstrate exceptional musical talent and ability in an audition, viva and an interview with the Head of Music and relevant members of the music staff. They cover up to 50% of the fees.

Performing Arts Awards, valued at up to 50% of the fees, are open to candidates who excel in at least two of the following disciplines:

– Drama

– Dance

– Music (including singing)

Sports Awards are awarded to applicants with exceptional talent in athletics, cricket, cross-country, football, hockey, netball, rugby or tennis (other sports may also be considered). The maximum award given will be 50% of the fees.  

The school offers bursaries only to parents of current pupils who experience temporary financial difficulties.
