Introduction
Robert Gordon’s College is a co-ed independent school for day pupils in Aberdeen, Scotland. Adhering to the motto Be all you can be, it has produced a number of notable alumni since its founding in 1750, including a Nobel Prize recipient. [1]

Robert Gordon’s College Senior 1 (S1) Entry Admissions
The application deadline is in early January. Please note that there is a £50 registration fee. Formal entrance assessments are administered later in the same month.
The College offers places at the beginning of March, to be accepted within a week of the offer being made, along with a payment of a £250 deposit.
Robert Gordon’s College Senior 1 (S1) Entry Scholarships and Bursaries
In an effort to accommodate pupils from all financial backgrounds, Robert Gordon’s College offers means-tested bursaries. The awards are allocated on the grounds of both academic merit and financial need and are only available to families with an annual household income of less than £80,000. The bursary application deadline is at the beginning of December (of the year preceding entry).
Robert Gordon’s College Senior 1 (S1) Entry Exam Format
The Robert Gordon’s College S1 exam consists of two tests:
– English
– Mathematics
The English paper tests spelling and grammar skills as well as creative writing and reading comprehension abilities.
The Maths test consists of questions that measure problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills, including questions on numbers, measurements, geometry, algebra and statistics.
