Introduction
RGS Dodderhill is an independent day school for girls in Worcestershire. Part of the RGS Worcester family of schools since 2019, RGS Dodderhill maintains a strong academic record despite its relatively small size. Since it doesn’t have a Sixth Form, many girls continue their education at RGS Worcester.
RGS Dodderhill School’s rich programme of extracurricular activities ensures that girls develop or improve skills in competitive sports such as netball, hockey, rounders, athletics and gymnastics, and make the most of creative opportunities such as LAMDA courses and music lessons taught by specialists.
Rated as ‘Outstanding’ and ‘Excellent’ in all areas by both ISI and Ofsted inspectors, RGS Dodderhill maximises girls’ potential and self-esteem by encouraging a love of learning and high academic achievement, hence fully preparing them for the world of work.

Open Events for RGS Dodderhill 11 Plus (11+) Entry
Open Mornings allow families to meet the teaching and senior staff and ask questions of interest. The events also include guided tours of the campus, familiarising visitors with the facilities on offer.
Individual visits during a normal school morning can be arranged, as well. They include a meeting with the Head and a personalised tour of the site, with the option to briefly attend lectures. You can view the school’s exact location on the map below:
RGS Dodderhill 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
After the visit, you may wish to register your daughter with the school. To do so, you should complete the online registration form, which can be accessed through this page, and pay the £45 fee, which is non-refundable.
Your daughter will be assessed and interviewed in February of the calendar year of entry. A reference from her current school will be obtained. If, following the exam and interview, she receives an offer, you will be asked to accept it with a payment of a £100 deposit.
RGS Dodderhill 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
RGS Dodderhill awards the Price Scholarship for academic ability to a Year 7 applicant following the entrance exams. The award is the equivalent of one term’s fees. Additionally, there is the Davidson Music Scholarship, worth £1000 a year.
To apply for a bursary, you should submit a bursary application form, available from the Bursar, along with documents related to income and assets. You will be informed of the outcome of the bursary application before the deadline for acceptance of places.

RGS Dodderhill 11 Plus (11+) Exam Format
The RGS Dodderhill 11+ exam consists of the following papers:
- English
- Mathematics
- Verbal Reasoning
The English paper examines both comprehension and writing skills, including inference, spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The maths exam assesses your daughter’s problem-solving abilities and arithmetic skills. The paper may include questions on number, measurement, geometry, algebra and statistics.
The Verbal Reasoning paper is designed to test and assess her logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
