Queen’s College is an independent school for girls in the City of Westminster, London. Established in 1848 by theologian and social reformer Frederick Denison Maurice, it is considered the first institution in the world to award academic qualifications to women. Queen’s College London 11 Plus Admissions Criteria

 

Queen’s is a member of the London Consortium and follows its Agreed Code of Practice. The main point of admission to Queen’s College is at 11+, where there is a three-form entry.

 

Year 7 admission is determined by student performance in the school’s entrance test. Additionally, all candidates are invited to attend an interview and a reference is requested from their current school.

 

In line with the London Consortium’s policy, the College offers places based on exam results, interview performance and the quality of the school reference. How to Apply for 11 Plus Entry to Queen’s College London

 

Before applying for an eleven plus place at Queen’s College, parents should attend one of the Open Days, which take place throughout the academic year. Visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Principal, speak to staff members and take a tour of the College.

Queen’s College London Year 7 entry, 11 Plus Assessment

 

The 11 plus exam at Queen’s College does not include written assessments. Instead, entry into Year 7 is through a bespoke, two-part online assessment that tests a wide range of abilities.

 

Part 1 covers Mathematics, Non-Verbal Reasoning, English and Verbal Reasoning. Part 2 consists of problem-solving and analysis exercises.
