Maidstone Grammar School for Girls (known as MGGS), is a selective girls’ grammar that admits boys in its Sixth Form. The school was founded in 1887. Today, it caters for over 1200 pupils and comprises extensive facilities, including a spacious sports hall with a large multi-use games area. [1]

Competition for entry is high. In the case of over-subscription, the school uses the following criteria, giving priority to:

1. Looked After and previously Looked After children

3. Top 30 pupils based on their aggregate score in the Kent Test

How to Apply for 11 Plus (11+) Entry to Maidstone Grammar School for Girls

To apply for Year 7 entry to MGGS, you must register your daughter for the Kent Test through the Kent County Council website. The Secondary Common Application Form (SCAF) must also be completed, stating Maidstone Grammar School for Girls as your preferred school.
