Introduction
Crosfields School is an independent co-ed day school in Shinfield, Reading. Catering for approximately 706 pupils, it occupies 40 acres of extensive grounds and produces competitive academic results. [1]
In the Senior School, the curriculum features varied subject options, delivered by skilled and experienced form and specialist teaching staff. Crosfields School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
Registering for places should be done prior to the deadline set in December of the year preceding entry. In order to be processed, the application form must be submitted with a payment of a £100 registration fee.
The school will then get in touch to arrange an assessment for your child. The exam (in the online format) is followed by an interview, during which your child will be asked to discuss their academic and non-academic interests. The admissions process also includes a review of school reports.
Offers of places are made within five working days of the assessment and the acceptance deposit amounts to £1,000. Please note that the payment of the deposit is essential as it will secure your child’s place at the school.
Crosfields School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Crosfields offers scholarships in the following areas: Academic ability, Swimming, Art, Drama, Music, Sport and Dance. The application process includes references from the current school and assessments in the chosen area. If awarded, the scholarship will provide your child with access to a number of leadership opportunities.
Means-tested bursaries are offered to families who qualify for the award following the submission of a mean-tested application which includes details about the total income of the household.
