Chigwell School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions

Chigwell School is a selective independent school which welcomes pupils from many different ethnic and religious backgrounds. Throughout the admissions process, the following criteria are considered:

• performance in an entrance exam
• conduct in an interview
• the quality of a report from the current school

The 11+ interview consists of two parts: an interview with parents, who will have the opportunity to meet with a senior member of staff and discuss their child’s interests, and an interview with candidates for entry, lasting 30 minutes.

The 11+ entrance examination takes place in January. If the candidate does exceptionally well, they may be called for a scholarship interview and assessment. The results of the 11+ entrance examination will be posted in February. The deadline for acceptance of an offer is in March.
