Abercorn School is an independent, co-educational school set across 3 locations in and around Marylebone. The school was opened in 1987 by Andrea Greystoke and is a member of IAPS, the Independent Association of Preparatory Schools.

Abercorn School 11 Plus (11+) Admissions
To apply for Year 7 entry, you should submit the registration form, together with a copy of your child’s passport and a £100 registration fee. The receipt of the form will be acknowledged via email.
There is no closing date for applications since the school admits pupils throughout the year, as long as there are places available. Once registered, your child will be invited to sit entrance examinations at a mutually convenient time.
Abercorn School 11 Plus (11+) Scholarships and Bursaries
Scholarships are not available. However, the school does offer bursarial support to families who can’t afford to pay the fees. All bursary applicants must be registered with the school in order to be considered. The Abercorn School 11+ entrance examination consists of the following papers:

- Reasoning (Verbal & Non-Verbal)
The English paper examines writing skills, including spelling, vocabulary and punctuation. Marks will be awarded for good use of imagination, creativity, form, purpose, organisation, cohesion and sentence structure.
The Verbal Reasoning paper is primarily designed to test and assess your child’s logical thinking, use of English language and vocabulary.
The Non-Verbal Reasoning paper measures their ability to understand, interpret and problem-solve, testing logic and intelligence rather than knowledge.
