1 Everyone has the right to be happy.
2 Respect other people and their property.
3 Use your common sense.
½ If in doubt, ask’
Whilst academically selective and challenging, it is all about balance and common sense and ensuring children are happy.
The Prep School is purpose-built and has its own specialist teaching facilities housed in two joined red brick buildings. Sports hall and swimming pool facilities are shared with the Senior School. Bancroft’s Prep School 7 Plus (7+) Scholarships and Bursaries
With its origins and links dating back to the Drapers Company in 1737, Bancroft’s has a long philanthropic tradition of providing support to deserving young people. The School offers up to two Francis Bancroft Scholarship Awards each year, available to Prep School entrants only, for a maximum of four years.
It is a means tested award designed to support pupils of high ability whose parents might not otherwise be able to afford the full school fees. Places are awarded on the results of the 7+ entrance examinations with school reports and interviews playing an important part too.
The value of an award depends on a number of factors, including total income and the number of dependent children. The assessment of the level of financial assistance is calculated on a graduated scale after parents/guardians have submitted a comprehensive confidential statement of their income and assets via a Financial Disclosure Form.
To make an application for the Francis Bancroft Scholarship, ensure that you tick the relevant box on the registration form. There is no need to make a separate application.
