The first round test at Sutton Grammar Schools is known as the Selective Eligibility Test. It covers Maths and English in a multiple-choice format.
Tiffin Boys’ and Girls’ Schools in Kingston also use a first round test that covers Maths and English.
In the English paper of these Sutton and Kingston tests, there are questions that will assess a student’s knowledge of prefixes and suffixes.
Prefixes and suffixes are not always covered in depth in the school curriculum. Therefore, it is useful for students to spend time focusing on these types of questions so they are well prepared for the exam.
The Sutton and Kingston grammar school exams are very competitive; every mark counts. As such, familiarising students with these slightly unusual topics undoubtedly puts them in an advantageous position on test day.
We’ve created 24 practice tests to specifically target prefixes and suffixes.
12 tests focus on prefixes and 12 tests focus on suffixes.
Each test covers a variety of question types so students encounter the relevant words in different formats and contexts.
The tests also provide an excellent opportunity for students to improve their vocabulary and spelling.
This pack contains over 200 pages of unique content, consisting of 600 original questions.
